This might sound strange, but I'm running into an issue here where for some odd reason, my Win XP firewall (SP2) will not stay on after a system reboot.

I'm using Zone Alarm currently, but have been tinkering around with the firewall and just realized today that the stupid thing will not stay on!

Has anyone come across something like this before?

I searched online for answers, but wasn't able to find anything useful.

Thanks in advance :)

start > run > services.msc > ok
windows firewall / internet connection sharing - make sure it's set to automatic, if not, then set it to auto

it's possible zone alarm may be disabling it to avoid any conflicts

I never thought that Zone Alarm would be intentionally disabling the XP firewall, but that's more than likely the case

Thank you!
