According to a table I found concerning my s754 k8v se deluxe (http://www.sharkyforums.com/showthread.php?t=277576), with the configuration I'm using right now, my 1.25gb of ddr400 ram is only running at ddr200. (512 in dimm1 (blue slot), 256 dimm2 (yellow slot), and 512 in dimm3 (yellow slot).
If I take out my 256mb chip, I believe it will speed back up to ddr400. Therefore, is 1.25gb@ddr200 better or worse than 1gb@ddr400?? Also, if I want 2gb of ram, should i replace that 256mb stick with a 1gb stick or should i keep my system running at ddr400.

I use my computer mainly for games. It's a Athlon64 3200, 1.25gb pc3200 ram, ati x800pro

That doesn't sound right. Why not download and run something like CPU-Z or PC Wizard 2007 to find out what speed your memory is actually running at on your machine?
