Hi, a program wouldn't uninstall properly for some reason. So, after several tries, I finally decided to just delete the directory. My question is, how do I remove that program's information from system registry and Control Panel add/remove list so that Win XP doesn't think it's installed anymore? Thanks for any help.

for the most part, the most common locations in the registry would be in:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\whatever the applicatoin's name or vendor is
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\whatever the applicatoin's name or vendor is

i know there's a location of the installed entries that show up in add/remove as well in the registry...but you'll need to check out some sites to find it, i can't recall where it is
