hello,
i have a D-link router (DI-604) and SBC yahoo DSL. the router is so we can share the DSL between two computers. both of the computers had the SBC crap on them before we gutted one of them and made it into a gaming comp (2.6 ghz, radon 9800 the lot). after we did that, we did not install the SBC crap(the software they give you to install) on it. but, after using IE for a few days, i dicied to install the SBC software, because it had all my favrites, my E-mail. my parents E-mail. stuff like that. now, everthing was working great. the comp with the SBC stuff allready on it was working. but, when installed the SBC stuff on the gaming comp, both comps stoped conneting to the internet. i can't get to the http://192.168.0.1 screen to config my router. i have uninstalled the SBC crap.

i don't know what else to tell you, please ask me for anything you might need to know to help me get back on the internet. (right now i have to go from my modem staight to my computer. having the router pluged in does not let it connet. it just says dialing. redial. blah blah blah. thank you for anyhelp.

since you called me ("blah blah blah" ), I have to ask you if you reset yer router? btw what kind of modem do you have?

i have the same problem that you have too. Can't get all the computers to get online. BTW, i use dlink 604.
here this is my problem:
the first time when i hook the router in the network. I setup the PPPoE protocol. then all computer get connected. later i turned off everything(dsl modem, router, and all computers) cause i wanted to rewire. After that i turn everything back on, but this time i COULD NOT any computers to get online.
The question i have is:
1. When i turn every thing back on. DO I STILL need to run the SBC Connection Manager for the first connection or not. Or I just use the router to call out the DSL modem.
2. if i use the router to call out what config on the router i have to do in order to make it work. if i possible could you tell me how the router is gonna call out the phone number to the main server of sbc.
3 On one of the computers, Do i need to have the software (SBC Connection manager)????
