Vista allows Core 2 Duo to under volt lower than XP???

Um... yea... what's up with this? I haven't done any BIOS updates since I had XP.

Anyone have any ideas? Or is CPU-Z not fully Vista compatable and hence, has bugs with Vista?

Voltage is constantly changing in modern processors, especially if speedstep or cool n quiet is enabled.

i would suggest putting the CPU under full load (using 2 instances of superpi) and then checking the voltage.

turn all the crap ola off!

fix all the auto controls in the bios - intel systems work best at a fixed voltage.

some amd systems work better with auto voltage due the hpyer transport
