Can I get sound on new msgs, not for contacts online?

Hi. Anyone know of a way to get an audio (sound) notification for new messages, but not if a contact comes online? I may be dense, but don't see a way to do it in MSN Messenger 7.5.0324. Alerts are fine for coming online, but sounds are too distracting.

I checked Messenger Plus features, and I couldn't tell for sure if that would do what I want. If so, I am also using SimpLite for encryption--anyone aware of any issues between that and Messenger Plus?

Not as far as I know... you can put it on *busy* which won't give you online alerts, but I'm not sure if it gives a sound when others msg you. I only use this at work, and I have no sound on my machine as our internal software beeps every 5 mins and it bugs me
