When is Value RAM not enough?

Here is my setup...

AMD Opteron 170 (OC'ed to 2.5GHz) cooled with a ZALMAN CNPS9500
ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe
2x XFX 7800GTX 256 (490/1300)
Silverstone Strider 600w PSU
Creative X-Fi soundcard
CORSAIR ValueSelect 2GB (2 x 1GB) 184-Pin DDR 400 (PC 3200)
Plextor DVD R/W
WD Raptor 74gig
WD 160gig IDE
2x WD 250gig SATA
in a Thermaltake Armor VA8000BWS Case

My question is... should I try to overlock my current ram or spend some money to get some faster sticks? I mainly do video editing and some photoshopping... I used to do a lot of gaming and still do occasionally. What do you think? OC or just buy better ram?

What divider and HTT speed are you using on your Opty and what memory divider?

For your listed uses, especially the Photoshop stuff, you will see almost no improvment from more memory bandwidth in this case. You would likely get a better improvement with more memory.

Here is my problem with more memory. I originally had 3 gigs (2 sticks 1gig 2 sticks 512) in my system, but when I added the second graphics card my mobo would only see 2.5 gigs. So I just took out the two 512 sticks and my system ran faster. So unless I take one of the GPUs I can't go with MORE memory. Lame.
