i have a 3 years old laptop and the cd-rom stop working for some reason. is there any other ways that i could install my windows xp from my 1gb usb drive? some one give me a idea.. thanks.

if the bios of the laptop supports booting off usb mass storage devices in the boot menu options

if it does, you'd have to extract the contents of the xp cd to the usb key...may not go through tho...you'd have to look it up to see if you have to do anything special
