I have two users on my XP (SP2 with Autopatcher August 2006). When I’m using both simultaneously the switching gap is increasing in time, but if I open a video file in BSPlayer and pause it the gap is gone and switching is smooth and fast no matter how many tasks are open on both users. Now I’m using BSPlayer more as a performance utility than as a multimedia player 8O . Can someone explain this?

I doubt ram is the issue because as I said, with BSPlayer on pause everything is ok. So, if with one task more (8 MB) XP is working fine it is logical that I have enough ram. It is possible that BSP is somehow blocking XP to page file (swap) the user sessions but I really don’t know. Maybe the bug is in Autopatcher.

Something like that :) :
Sempron64 3000+ Palermo 1.8 (oc 2.07) ghz 128 KB
Asus K8N nforce3
512 MB ram
Radeon 7000 64 MB DDR
I'm very satisfied with the performance of my configuration (I'm not playing games because of my graphics) and everything is fast enough except this problem.
