no, but i did find this:

We were surprised to see Gateway offer CPU overclocking, but apparently it only offers this service on the most high-end quad-core processor available, the QX6700. It overclocks the processor, via its unlocked multiplier, from 2.67GHz to 3.2GHz. This is a cool feature, no doubt, and Gateway should offer it on all its gaming machines.

True, but then he would need a new OS since windows activation is dependent on the OEM Gateway motherboard.

True. However this voids any and all warranties and support from gateway, obviously.

well... as far as waranty's go, i dont really care. i've had a couple gateways in the past, and none of them have ever crapped out on me. but, with the overclocking and stuff, ya never know what could go wrong.

If you were planning on overclocking and/or replacing parts, why did you buy a Gateway in the first place?  Even without having to replace parts you can usually do better than any of those companies if you build your own gaming rig.  One of the few reasons I can think of is that Gateway/Dell/etc have warranties and technical support, but you throw that out the window by overclocking or replacing parts anyway.

Oh, and 4GB of RAM on a 32bit OS...  It might be a decent idea to replace the motherboard and get a new copy of Vista (64 bit) so that you can actually use all of that RAM that you paid for. Why does Gateway even offer 4GB of RAM if they only offer 32bit OSes :?

Sorry if it sounds like I'm being negative

no its cool, i dont think your being negative. i basically got a gateway because of the price. it was cheap because i got a great discount (family member works there).
