Windows Updates

I haven't received a Windows Update since the 12th of July. I don't know if Microsoft just hasn't released any or if updates are just somehow blocked for me. I remember I used to get Windows Updates like once or twice a week so you can understand my concern as it's been almost a month. Every time I "check for updates" it just says that there are none. Could I have turned a feature off or something what could cause this? I appreciate any help.

Microsoft officially sends out security updates once a month, on patch tuesday - i.e. the 2nd tuesday of the month. If there is a new major security risk in the wild they will push an out of band update.

When you are on the updates screen, click on the "view installed updates". I'm sure you are still getting updates for defender and stuff daily or so, it's just that those install automatically with no user intervention thus don't require popup notices.
