Hi all

I’m thinking of selling my current Seagate barracuda 7200.7 120 SATA hard drive and ‎get two new Western Digital WD1600AAJS or WD1600JS and set a RAID 0 config, but ‎my question is:‎

What is the difference between WD1600AAJS and WD1600JS, which one is better?! ‎These two models really confused me and I couldn’t decide.‎

Are there any other better possibilities for the equal budget?!‎

I got a GA-K8NF-9 motherboard, Athlon 64 3200+ and use my PC for gaming most of ‎the time and file transfer rate, reading, writing and loading time for games are of most ‎concern…‎

Thanks

Hmm... it seems there was another post asking the same question for the WD5000AAKS version, but in my case I couldn't really figure out what is the difference ?!

the WD1600AAJS 8MB is THE fastest 7200 available (its right behind the 1TB hitachi i believe, but that one is also ~$400+)... the only consumer hdds faster, are the raptors, but their price, isnt exactly proportionate to their capacity either

some of the fastest maxtor ata133 can't touch the aajs. It runs fine in solo mode and there isn't really a performance benefit in games w/raid. llate

Thanks indeed for the advise, but finally I bought Samsung SP2504C and I'm really happy with it...
