[GUIDE] Integrate software into your Windows installation CD

The addons are programs for your Windows installation.
Integrate them as hotfixes with nLite and they will be silently installed during Windows setup

What You Need:
- nLite
- .Net Framework 2.0
- Windows CD

Duration:
The whole procedure takes from 5 to 20 minutes (burning of the CD included).

How To Do It:
1. Copy the content of your Windows install CD to your hard drive.
2. Watch the video (~2 mins, 1MB), after that burn the created ISO either with Nero or with nLite's integrated burner.

So I can have firefox 2 with all my extensions install when I install windows?

Won't that take up a lot of space if I have a lot of programs?

These addons are default installations.
But yes - you can create your very own personalized addons like Firefox with extensions for example.

For more details see MSFN application installs.

The more programs you integrate the more space you need. That's obvious. You don't have to install them all. Just pick your favorites

How can I include all updates onto a CD?

I have the SP2 cd from MS, but I still have to download about 100mb of updates

@ scarslilpyro - you have to download all hotfixes from microsoft.com and then you can splitstream them with nLite just the way you integrate these addons.

You need to create an addon in order to integrate it with nLite.
I'm not sure if it was released in the official nLite application addons forum.

I see you added xfire, which is a program I can use, but how did you convert, extract, etc, I would like to know the method used so that I can add programs and installations myself...

Ok I'm using nLite addon maker but some programs are 500mb each?!?!

OK I downloaded the video and it opened MS media player 11 and I got a error it will not play any sugestions?
