HELP!!! Linksyswmp54gs problem!

I have this wireless card, and worked fine in a now doa system, and its been sitting on the shelf for a while. I went to put it in my kids system today, and when i put it in, the system won't boot up, hell it wont even hit the post, but i take it back out and the system works flawlessly. do I have a dead wifi card now? system is a Asrockk7vm3 mb and Athlon xp- 2100+ and works great until I put this card in as stated above.

Possible. How did your doa system go doa? Could it have taken down the wireless card, too?

motherboard went tit up. Not sure why, it wasn't a psu issue because i used the psu for 2 months on another system and no problems. Not sure what took it out. I hope this card isnt toast. I can't find the receipt and I'm broke as a joke right now.
