Hi Folks,

I have recently reinstalled windows XP SP2 on my new Seagate 160Gig SATA Barracuda drive. However the option to “Enable Write Caching “ for the drive in the device manager is missing? The option is present for my old 40Gig PATA Maxtor, but not for my new drive.

Any ideas?
Thanks in advance

i don't have one to check with right now, but i don't think sata even uses that option, the bus itself is already enhanced, but let's see if anyone else can confirm that
