I just got FIOS through Verizon. They installed their own Router/Modem combo devide. I got my wife's laptop set up on the wireless part of the network. She can access the internet and internal network fine. She uses a VPN client called DeviceID that she got from her work. She can connet to the VPN network without any issues, however, she is unable to connect to the Outlook server for some reason. I feel like I have opened my router wide open and she still cannot get to the Outlook server. The router is something like Actiontek (?), not sure about the name. She is using a Belkin wireless network card. She is using Outlook 2003 I believe.

Any thoughts on how to fix this or what is causing it?

Thanks in advance for any tips or suggestions.

I think it might be a permissions issue on the device her VPN client connects to. It may also be a broadcast issue.

If the company uses Exchange Server chances are they have Outlook Web Access configured. Have her ask the IT guys in her office.
