I've fallen out of my depth :(

I got this router and frankly the options available are making little to no sense to me.

I got everything working except... Wireless and Wired working with File and Printer Sharing. A wireless connected client cannot ping a wired client and vice versa.

If anyone knows how to configure this beast I could do with some help or alternately is there a place online where basic configuration is covered for all wireless routers ?

(The manual has no real world context.)

Any help, super appreciated.

Do you have internet access from each of your machines through your router? (This question is just to establish that you have basic connectivity working, and the network adapters working in each computer).

Have you run the home network setup wizard on each machine? (This is the easiest way to set up a home workgroup so you can then proceed to share folders and printers, etc.)

If the answers to both of the above is "yes", then go to My Computer - Properties - Computer Name (assuming Win XP) and make sure the Workgroup name listed is identical for all machines you want to participate in the folder / printer sharing.

Next go to the computer that contains the folders / has the printer attached and enable sharing.

For folders, right-click on the folder, go to properties, and then sharing.

For printers, go to Control Panel, printers, Properties, sharing.
