Trouble installing directx 9.0c

Hello, i have Windows xp sp2

I had directx 8.1 installed, i upgraded to 9 and now i need to upgrade it 9.0c.

When i run dxwebsetup it says "the components are now installed and ready to use"

When i check at dxdiag the version is still 9.0c

What do i do?

Is that a typo at the end '9.0c" or what?
