I have a mesh computer with a ASUS P4R800-VM (ATI RADEON 9100 IGP) Series motherboard. The 512Mb installed RAM shares 128Mb with the on-board graphics. I want to upgrade, can I install a new AGP grahics card and turn off the on-board graphics. If so , recommendations for a new grahics card and should I upgrade grahics card or RAM first.

300 is low for most of the new agp cards, but a 9800 pro would run fine on it.

however the 9800 pro has its limits in gaming now days, you wont be able to max out quite a few of the games you get now.
