hello

I had the version 9.0c of directx,
then I wanted to install the game NeedForSpeed:Carbon, it gave me an error message that I wouldn't have directx installed. So I found out that dx needs to be reinstalled. I ran a uninstaller, and the game worked.

But now I cannot install the newest version anymore, better said it did install, but its still recognized as 8.1 in dxdiag.

Can someone help me with this problem?

can't install the newer version of what?
dx 9c is the newest one out there
