Will Opteron 8xx series CPUs work in a DP S940 board?

I know the 8xx series chips retail for big bucks but sometimes you can pick them up cheaper than 2xx chips so I’m wondering if they are drop in compatible with 2xx chips in dual socket 940 boards. If they are electrically compatible may there be BIOS issues?
