I have a network of 40 pc's all connected to 2 x 24 switch 10/100 and then to a linksys WRT54GS Wireless Router. (only 4 pc's are wireless. The rest are connected by cable.
I want to control the download bandwidth of each pc. because when 1 or 2 pc's start downloading it kills the internet speed of all the other pc's. The Linksys router only provided some QOS fetures but are limited to 2 wireless pc's, and 4 wired pc's.
Is there a router or switch that has the ability to control the bandwidth of 40pc's??
or do I have to opt for 3rd party software to do the job???
Don't know how tech savvy you are but Cisco switches are really good at this. Also search for manageable switches, I know that Linksys makes a really good 24 & 48 port managed switch(can't remember if it does pipe limiting or not)
