The Recovery Disk of manufacturers like Dell,HP,E-Machines,etc.
will work if the original Mother Board is replaced for another of different brand
like Asus,Asrock,Abit,etc?

Thanks.
Cesar Rubio.

i don't believe so, it detects your mobo's serial # before kicking off the installation, kinda gathers a report to see if it'll match its specified original hardware and does a comparison

now if your OEM provided you different hardware, they may be able to also give you another restore CD, but i recommend a retail install anyway

Do you know if that applies to the CPU too?
If I ex-change the original CPU for other one the machine wont boot?

Thanks.
Cesar.

No, it only applies to the Mobo.

aye, mobo only, ram, cpu, and possibly other expansion cards and prepherals shouldn't effect it
