Hello, guys. Ths will be my last post as a Win XP Pro user.

I've decided to move to windows 7, the 64bit version. This should take advantage of my CPU, DX10 gaming and obviously, the RAM.

My question is: Is it going to be hard to find drivers in general? I understand that most vista drivers work on Seven as well, but seeing as i'm moving to 64 bit, are there any known issues?

The basics of my system are as follows:

CPU E8400
Mobo P5Q Pro
GPU 8800GT
RAM 4GB DDR2 800

Cheers!

Been running Vista 64 almost since release, and have never had a problem finding a driver. By the same token, I've had no troubles finding drivers for Win 7 (build 7000), either. The caveat being I don't use old junk.

Asus is actually offering windows 7 drivers on 5 of their boards right now...pretty sure at least 2 of the p5q boards are included in the drivers there.

you could check the support.asus.com site and search up your board and double check.
