Display and sounds settings revert ...

... back to it's original state every 2 to 3 restarts ... I changed the batt. but still doing it. WIN XP pro.

Any help will be greatly appreciated

do you have an administrative account or just a regular user that's not saving your preferences?

can you create a new user profile account and test with that?

It hasn't reverted since I created another user account and have to select on the Welcome screen ... I'm thinking this thing is going too fast sometimes and doesn't load my personal settings but now has no choice because I have to click on the name.

I wish I didnt have to do this though because I like to hit the power button grab a cup and have the pc ready for when I get there. Oh well it's only for another 2 months till Vista comes out and I just install it and hopefully I won't have to deal with it again lol

well you can change the settings for the logon not to use the welcome screen or whatever, go to control panel and open user accounts

Imma try and delete the 2nd account and see if the problems starts up again.

The problem continues I deleted the 2nd account and still same problem with the colors reverting every couple of restarts... but when i restart again then they go back to normal.
