There's *so* much information about overclocking online and I'm having a hard time condensing it all. I've started to overclock an E6600 on my own system by disabling all the spread spectrum options, unlinked the memory, and raising the FSB in 10 unit increments, then reboot. Evidently, we can't adjust the CPU multiplier. I have CPU-z and load it after every reboot. Not sure what stability tests I should run. Is this all correct? What else needs to be done?

I do refer to the sticky guide here and I agreeit's quite helpful, but I still have questions. PC Probe II is giving me a warning, "CPU VTT" is in the red at 1.38v. What is this and how do I correct it?

By configuring PCProbe correctly, it can be configured to the certain level, warnings at least... Nearly any monitoring software doesn't work properly "out of the box"...

I started by raising the FSB bus in 10 unit increments and kept checking my monitor programs when I noticed the CPU VTT was in the red on PC Probe II. To lower the CPU VTT which was in the red (I still don't know what that is) I lowered the FSB bus (I think that's what it's called) by about 20 units. I'm so new at this this, I don't know the right jargon.

Open PCProbe, click CONFIG button, open Sensor/Threshold tab, open Voltage tab there, check Threshold slider, eventually increase % of it to switch that annoying RED off. This is Vcore voltage, but I have no idea, why it's called CPU VTT. I use PC Probe II v.1.04.05 on Asus P5B-E and here the sensor name is correct.
