Blue screen after restart

Hello.
Yesterday I installed Windows 2000 Professional in my computer.
I didn't have the drivers CD because this case and mobo came from my dad's office.
I have disabled on-board sound, and network and have installed my own sound and network cards. Sound card has installed properly, but the networking card I have had problems installing. It told me some files could not be copied to the root-directory. I restarted to confirm new hardware instalation, and got blue screen. Restarted again, got the bluescreen.

Any help would be greatly appriciated!

are you using the latest drivers for that network card from the manufacturer's website or something?

Yes.

Some cards are incompatible with some hardware.
Try removing the card. If you no longer get blue screens of death, it was an incompatibility and you should use a different card.
