SAPPHIRE 1950XTX +Asus p5b driver problems...

After installing xp and using the drivers that came with the mobo(asus instALL,i also installed the catalyst 6.8 that came with the card(Ati easy install-installed all the drivers).After experiencing short slowdowns in Scarface(crowded scenes driving cars around)at 1280x768 6xaa,16x-all effects activated in catalyst panel,i decided to upgrade to cat drvrs 6.9.My system has 1 gig ram +512 the card so i think there shouldn't be any slowdowns..during installing the new drivers a message popped up:video.inf not found.install video driver before continuing....and the install was aborted...i explored the asus disc as well as the sapphire one but could find nothing.Only some unified drivers from ati but after installing them still can't install catalyst 6.9....Any thoughts??

rollback the ati drivers completely and clean them out

rollback the asus chipset drivers as well and clean them all up

reboot a few times, install the latest asus drivers from the website, once all that is in place install the latest catalyst driver to see how things go after
