Asp Server, IIS_default.htm6 error

hey,

i need to install iis , but it gives a cant find IIS_default.htm6 error.

i searched in google and they say, there is a problem for home editions. but

im using xp pro. :S

pls dont say format ur hdd and try again i cant format right now

can i find a patch or something like that? or is there any aspserver program

that u used and liked. cuz i tried 3 server program and one of them dont

recognize javascript others have other problems

finally, how can i solve this problem

does iis interpret asp code ??

my purpose is not just to serv is, i want it to interpret.

or is there anything like "apache for asp" ??

for your first issue...you need to check out the default website's properties to see if all the entries are there for the homepage section

if things don't go right, why don't you completely roll back IIS and re-install it again, when you hit http://localhost you should get the default IIS page which says it's under construction
