Please guys, help me build a budget computer system. I am planning to buy

- Intel E6300 (1.86 Ghz FSB1066 L2 Cache 2M) at $. 188
- Corsair Value Select DDR2 512Mb PC5300 2 pcs of a total 1 Gb at $. 32/pc
- PSU Thermal Take TR2 430 Watt at $. 48

And I can’t decide to buy which mainboard and VGA that is best for my system. I prefer Intel 965 chipset for mobo but what brand and type? The price I can afford is around $. 140, they are Abit IB9, Gigabyte GA-965P-S3, Asus P5B, MSI P-965Neo-F, ECS P965T-A, DFI Infinity P965-S. Which one is the best?

For VGA, I like Gigabyte Nvidia 8600GTS or GT (depend on the price since they are still not available yet in my country). But I’ve read the forum and they sound like no good at all compare to their price. Pls help me choose one, of course I want a DX10 one but not ATI.

Finally for the PSU, is Thermal Take TR2 430W enough to power up my spec above? Or should I replace with SilverStone ST50EF 500W PFC one? Of course for SilverStone, I have to add another $. 32 to my budget. I will be broke.

Any help or information will be much appreciated.

Either the DFI or Gigabyte board; indeed the silverstone over TT....

GPU? - if your not willing to try ATI, then you better aim 8800GTS or skip the 8600GTS if you dont like it. Then again, the 7900GS has fallen a considerable amount; up to you really.

For mobo, I think I’ll pick Gigabyte. Thanks

It’s not I don’t like 8600GTS, indeed I like it very much. But I just keep reading the forums say as if 8600 no good at all compare to its price. So, now I’m confused which is the best graphic card for mainstream gamer. I don’t want 7600GT ‘cause it’s not DX10 capable, but for 8800GTS, I can’t afford it since the computer parts in my country is fairly high compare to newegg.com’s prices
