I've had the problem with Svchost.exe taking up too much resources on 2 computers now. At boot up (this is really the only problematic time), the first 1-3 minutes are plagued with sporatic 10 second long spurts of Svchost.exe taking up 99% cpu. The cpu this is currently happening on is an Athlon 64 3200+, so with a single core, this makes the system unusable for the first few minutes.

Svchost is a required windows component, so I can't disable it. AntiVirus and Spyware scans don't reveal any problems, the system is always up to date on updates, and the user is pretty internet-conscious and would not be clicking on random emails & such. Is there a way to find out what dll each svchost process is running such that I can identify if it is the wireless cadr drivers or some malicious dll or just something that shouldn't be running all the time that I can set on manual rather than auto?

Thanks,
Jo
