Hello every body,
I am confused a little about what would be the next generation AMD CPU Socket's ? :?: AM3 or Socket F?
And does anybody know if it is AM3 , that CPU will be supported by AM2 boards or not.
And finally , when the next CPU generation of AMD will come around?

Nexg Gen Socket: Socket AM2+ / Socket F+

Socket AM2 may not support AM3 CPU. Only Socket AM2+ will.

Next Gen AMD CPU will come this year.

I have the opportunity to upgrade my PC from Opteron165 socket 939
to anything higher. So do you think if it is worthy to buy an AM2 board
or just wait for AM2+ ?Is the release time of AM2+ is near?
I personaly like AMD CPU's and accept any change in their socket's and can wait for that , but Do you know about Intel roadmap of upgrade and if I purchase an Intel socket775 with Core2 CPU is thare any future upgradeblity or not :!:

Socket AM2+ is better for future upgrades.

Intel will change socket also in 2008.
