Hi here's the problem:

new mb, using old hd to boot xp sp2.
xp disk is home edition update.
new sata2 raid0 drives

-i want to install xp on the raid and boot from it.
mb bios is happy - can see raid, and its healthy...

but - in windows I cant see my raid array on 'my computer'. In control panel i can see my raid disk. If i boot from the win XP disk i cant see my raid (despite loading the nvidia raid drivers when prompted)!

any ideas?

ps i plugged in my raid disks striaght from the box and bios was happy - should i have formatted them (or is that very old way of thinking?)
pps as for the slipstream disk thing - i cant find the sp2 pack file to copy!

clarify something...you have an existing version of xp

you got 2 sata2 drives to setup a raid 0, you set it up using the raid's configuration utility prior to the o/s booting, all bios options are correct

so now you need to install xp on this newly unformatted and raw disk formatted RAID

you boot into xp's installation from the cd, you hit f6, load the raid drivers, does xp install through? what's going on exactly
