About two days ago I noticed a windows registry program called dumprep 0 -k running in msconfig. After doing some googling I found out that its safe to disable and is simply a program associated with dumprep.exe which is used to send error info to MS. So I disabled it. Should I have done this? Oh and I decided to disable 'write debugging information' in 'Error Reporting'. Is this alright disabled too? I did this cause I dont report system errors to MS and so at least I think its not needed. Plz let me know if these settings i've disable are safe.

Yep thats exactly what I did. What about the process that was running which I found on msconfig, 'dumprep 0 -k' ? Was it safe to disable (which I did already)?

eh yeah don't worry about it, might belong to dr. watson, it just listens for any processes crashing, so if they do, it gathers a dump of it for debugging purposes, you can have it off it's fine
