Installation process

Hello everyone,
I just reinstalled windows xp on my system and I forgot to unplug the internet cable during the installation process. Will this be a problem? I heard that I can get viruses this way. Is it true?

You'll be fine... unless you werebrowsing and dl'ing crap off the web without any updates and antivirus on the machine, or if someone was specifically attacking you at the key moments you were vulnerable..

I use NOD32 antivirus and it's enabled all the time and up to date. So there won't be any problems right?
