Trying to install Windows.

Hey guys,

I'm trying to install Windows on a new PC but the keyboard and mouse won't allow me to select anything. Any idea what I can do? (Don't have a PS2 adapter).

look in the bios--some have enable usb mouse and enable usb keyboard options--sounds silly but the usb keyboard should function to get in the bios its only after that point it stops working

I just checked and it's enabled :S.

try plugging them in different usb ports--especially if you are using a pci usb card

Make sure you're using the USB ports on the BACK of the computer, near the top of the tower. Plug the keyboard into the USB slot closest to the edge of the case, and the mouse just to the right.

Hopefully that'll care of the problem. Let me know if it doesn't.
