I have AMD 955BE thinking of Over clocking or going for a new i5 chip. I just cant make up my mind. I use my computer for gaming (cant wait for D3) and watching movie. I have two builds in mind just looking for some feed back. First i am wondering if the 1st build would be a good balance CPU vs GPU? Second is the 1st build able to play on high settings for most games out or coming out soon @ 1900x1080. Third for $240 more is the 2nd build worth the boost in CPU? Also thoughts or changes you would make to the builds

Build 1:
AMD 955BE OCed Free

GIGABYTE Radeon HD 6950 1GB $239.99

COOLER MASTER HAF Mid Tower $59.99

ASRock 970 EXTREME3 AM3+ $89.99

XFX Core Edition PRO850W $119.99 went with the 850w mite get a 2nd 6950 someday

CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB DDR31600 $48.99

OCZ Agility 3 90GB SATAIII $139.99

WD 500gb HD Free

XIGMATEK Gaia cpu cooler $29.99

total: $728.93

Build 2:
COOLER MASTER HAF Mid Tower $59.99

ASRock Z68 Extreme3 Gen3 LGA1155 $124.99

XIGMATEK Gaia cpu cooler $29.99

GIGABYTE Radeon HD 6950 1GB $239.99

XFX Core Edition PRO850W $119.99

Intel Core i5-2500 $209.99

OCZ Agility 3 90GB SATAIII $139.99

G.SKILL Ripjaws X 8GB DDR31600 $43.99

WD 500gb HD Free

total: $968.92

If i go with the 1st build down the road when ivory bridge comes out I can switch over to Intel when it come down in price. that means new MB but by then I will probably want a new one anyways. Thanks a lot to anyone that take your time to read this.

i have 60gb ssds as my boot...all i can say is that it iwll definitely improve your boot up speed and some system speed. however, going with a 90gb would definitely be wise as it is all too easy to fill up.

i have a 500gb WD HD but i wanted a little room on ssd for a game or 2 for load times that is why i was thinking of the 90g ssd.
