Forgive my noobishness, but I was wondering about RAM setup.

If I want to install 2GB RAM, and I have 4 open slots on the MoBo, is it better to fill all four slots with 4 x 512MB, or just two slots with 2 x 1GB sticks?

Is there any performance difference at all between the two setups?

Thanks

2 sticks for SURE. Not only does that let you expand in the future if you want/need, but also lets you run 1T timings on your RAM. 2 stick is DEFINITELY the way to go.

4 sticks wont help u because there is no such thing as quad-channel.
If there was, then yeh it would be a good idea.
