I am running xp pro 64 for now (free for 120 days from microsoft web site) and will put vista on when it comes out.
I found drivers for everything except my printer.
I have an HP Deskjet 9300. I need a 11 x 17 printer so it will be at least $300 if I can't find drivers for this one (paid $400 4 years ago for it).
I tried the drivers on the hp web sit. The first problem is that they are self installing and windows keeps telling me to use the "add a printer" function to install it. The second problem is when I do that, windows says none of the files contain information on my printer.
A lot of HP printers don't work with x64. From HP's site, it looks like they expect Vista to ship with drivers for most of their inkjets:

HP Ink and Laser printing products
HP is working to ensure customers will have the best experience with HP ink- and laser-based single and multifunction products connected to PCs running Windows Vista, including HP Photosmart, Deskjet, Officejet, LaserJet and other HP printing products. Windows Vista-compatible HP ink- and laser-based products will be available when the new operating system is released to the public. HP is working with Microsoft to include drivers in the Microsoft operating system for HP ink- and laser-based products introduced in recent years.
