I have a Dell Axim x50v. I decided to upgrade to ROM version A04. I
thought it would be smart to make a backup before doing this. It
created a backup file on my PC.

After doing the upgrade to A04 my Axim refuses to recognize the file
(backup.dbk, possibly renamed when I transferred it to my Axim) as a backup.

There are a few files in that backup file I would like. Does anyone
have a utility that would let me into the backup file?

Thanks,
Babboo

Babboo,

I think (key word being think) that this has been covered in the group
before. Do a Google search on it.

Regards,

Is that an ActiveSync backup? I use sprite and always have it save as an
executable, so I am not sure what program made your backup. If AS, take a
look at http://www.pocketgear.com/software_detail.asp?id=2024
