I want to build a computer for a better understanding of learning the hardware side of computers. I'm getting a my A+ certification and my instructor told me that it would be a good learning resource to build one myself. I'm a casual computer user and I have a couple dell pc's.

Anyways, this is what I came up with for around 600 bucks, I'm not a gamer so the most intensive stuff I'll be doing to the pc is burning cd/dvds...

This is what I came up with for $600.00, I don't know about what's compatible and what's not so I need help.

I did'nt post the memory becuase I can get that for 100 bucks for 2 gig of ddr2 and I can always use my old dvd burner...

Anyways, let me know what you think, if you think it's overkill for a non-gamer please let me know and advise me to a cheaper solution.

This pc is mainly for burning dvds and cds and thanks in advance.

If you really like that PS they do have combiners (2 molex to 1 PCI-E).

If you want to get a better PS, look for the PS 101 post in the PS section. The one in my sig has 2 PCI-E power plugs and works great, though I am sure you can find a better brand (though it has worked great thus far).
