Even TW's cable guy has been unable to help me on this. I have been trying
to record to VCR programs that I have saved on the DVR. I have the
red/white/yellow (TO VCR) wired out to the VCR in. The program shows it is
being recorded on the PIP. Nothing is being played back. I have the VCR
red/white/yellow to the video in on my HDTV. If I playback a pre-recorded
VHS tape to the TV from the VCR it works. So......he used coax from the VCR
in/out to the TV in/out. Still no playback. Nw they called to tell me that
they have a newer edition DVR that they are coming out to install. Any
ideas on this problem? Everything is cabled according to the TW web pages I
have researched.

We had the same problem; our TW tech finally came up with "the composite
video out from the box is not enabled". That is, you have everything hooked up
right but the box doesn't work right.
This is the first I've heard about a newer model. The lack of NTSC video out
is just one of the problems we had with the SA8000 which has since been sent
back.
