Hi,
I have just upgraded my CPU from Athlon XP to Core2Duo. The system still booted up, which surprised me a little, but I am not sure if I am using both cores now. Do you think Win2k can handle an upgrade like that without reinstalling? Should I do something to refresh/update the installation? Or do you think it will not work well without actuall reinstallation (which I would rather avoid if possible)
I know there are people who reinstall on daily basis, but I hate installing everything again.

Ah, found it - replacing singleprocessor HAL with multiprocessor one in the device manager did the trick!
