Hi im getting an PC upgrade and have the choice of a free vista upgrade? Should i? or should i pass?
The new PC is...
Intel® Core™ 2 Duo E6600 Processor
2048MB Dual Channel DDR2 533MHz
320GB Serial ATA RAID 0 Stripe
Creative X-Fi Soundcard
256MB nVidia® GeForce® 7900GS graphics card
Just incase u needed to know.... The PC comes with XP..
So you're getting a free vista upgrade? So what's the reason not to? Your PC will work prefectly fine, and Vista is better than XP...so win-win situation IMO.
At the beginning, yes, there will be bugs. give it a few months everything should be fine. Or, Microsoft really suprised me and there's no bugs or security holes at all upon release and into the future. But I guess the chance of that is very small, lol.
Microsoft said upon realease it'll support a lot more hardware, so compatibility won't be an issue, I think. For your spec, it will defintely be much better than xp. There are quite a lot of nice new stuff in it too.
