So, I'm planning on turning my old computer into a media extender for my 42 inch plasma. I'm trying to determine what is the cheapest video card that I would need to enable 1080i resolution on my tv. I was looking at the Geforce 6200 AGP which I have found for about $50. Would this be a good choice or is there a better option out there? I'm not going to be running any games on this computer. What do you guys think?

Thanks.

I have a 6200TC AGP here and it works just fine, as long as your ONLY driving 1 display. Try to Drive 2 and I got problems.

I went so far as to find one that included a Component Video Dongle since my HDTV is older and doesnt have DVI/HDMI.

Now a days though I would spend a little more for something like a 7300.
The 8500 is supposedly coming to market in a few months as well (not like you wanna wait), but may NOT be available in AGP.
