For some reason when I try to watch videos (xvid codec) windows will come up with an error and say I have to close the program. Windows Media Player and Media Player Classic give me the same thing... They were working and then they magically stopped. I don't understand what the deal is... Anyone have this before and know how I can fix it?

so you have the codecs for the file and is that file verified?

Not sure what you mean by "verified" but, yes.

I reinstalled codecs and it appears to be a problem with the dvd encoding program I was using. Seems to be fixed now!

glad to hear you got it sorted, by verified I mean the file is verified by some other party to be a good, quality, uncorrupted file.

good luck http://img79.imageshack.us/img79/9609/headbangernu4.gif
