Strange sound from inside

I have "discovered" something very annoying and worrying about my computer: Sometimes a strange clicking noise comes from inside the case, sounding like as if the HDD is broken.

Strange thing is, it isn't the HDD, as I take it outside (still connected) and the sound is still coming from the motherboard somewhere... (Btw. the HDD is barely 1 month old).

Now, I took everything out, cleaned the PSU, fans and everything possible inside to make sure it isn't any mechanical part causing it but it still happens. (I removed fan to fan, to make sure it isn't any of them).

So after playing around I realised the clicking only happened when Windows Live Messenger was opened and one of the "Dynamic Backgrounds" was enabled!!

I am really clueless as to why this happens and I still haven't been able to locate what is exactly making the noise...

PS: internal speaker disconnected, still happens!

Specs: P4P800 SE, P4 2.8 NW, 7600 GT AGP, Audigy 2 ZS, D-Link Wireless, Hauppauge WinTV FM, zalman 300W PSU
