After upgrading windows xp 32 bit to windows 7, (attempting to do 64 bit, that failed, so I tried doing 32 bit and upgrading to 64 bit from there) I have got myself in a sticky situation.
After realizing that I can boot from CDROM instead of harddrive, I started installing Win 7 64 bit with the 64 bit disk that came with the Home Premium package.
I chose custom (advanced) since that got rid of my files (I wanted to get rid of it all, start fresh), and selected the harddrive with all of my space. I think I should've chosen the partition with the old info, which confused me because I only have 1 hard drive with 1 partition. Anyways, I made a new C: drive and the old 32 bit info is now on a D: drive.
Whenever I start windows it asks me which OS I would like to boot to. I choose the 64 bit one and it won't let me Format the 32 bit drive because it is still "running" the OS. Can anyone help me?
If I have to redownload my OS I will. I'll just have to install my drivers for the 4th time and redownload my Steam games
