Athlon 64 3200+ heat problems

It's like this, since I bought my PC i have problems with overheating, and cpu temp is always over 40c, and when i'm playing some games it goes over 50 or even 55c. i have a zalman cnps7000A. is this normal? should i change the cooler or what? thanks

As said, these temperatures are not a problem for your CPU. If you are generally suffering heat problems, then look at other components in your system, RAM, HDDS and graphics card.

Improved case airflow will help all of these.

i forgot to mention that these are temperatures when my case is open. i can't close it cause then temperatures of cpu,hdd and whole system go up (cpu above 60c).

Then you definitely need better case airflow / a better case.

Make sure that your case fans are actually set correctly, low (normally front) to intake, high (normally rear) to exhaust.

the case is logic master III, it was really cheap (big mistake, i know) when i was buying my computer. and can anyone explain me how to apply new paste, i've never done that, or if there's any link with good explanation. thanks
