Either one will work for want your wanting to do. I've built systems using both psu's, and both units are up to whatever you need them to do. Both are very quiet-running, essentially inaudible. The Hiper runs a bit warmer, and the exhaust fan keeps running after you shut down the computer to cool the psu. The fan is silent, though, so you never hear it. The Hiper I used runs an Athlon 64 X2 4600+ (the old model that's clocked at 2.4gHz), Foxconn nForce 590 chipset mobo, and a 7900GTX, and there's plenty of power to spare. The Corsair unit runs a C2D 6400 and an 8800GTS, no hitches at all. Either way, I think you're choosing a fine power supply.

Even if you're not running sli or xfire, you should still have a psu of around 550watts with at least 30amps on the 12volt rail(s).This should ensure system stability and longevity.Goodluck.

Go with the Corsair. It's an excellent PSU and will not let you down. I own the 620w version and love it!

Good Luck!

Get the Corsair. They are manufactured by Seasonic and is a variation of their M12 series PSU.
